  • How do I book a lesson?
    You can book a lesson by: Paying for each individual swim lesson as you go Buy a pack of lessons at a discounted price. You will then have "lesson credits" that you can use to schedule swim lessons! Create an account: To create an account, click the "Log In" button on the top right to get started. Once you create an account, you can view, schedule, and add lessons as you please!
  • Where are your lessons located?
    All of our lessons take place in Ala Moana Beach Park! Instructors will typically meet students next to the restrooms/showers located directly next to the main parking lot. You can enter these coordinates directly into your GPS (21.287578, -157.845755).
  • Do you offer group lessons?
    At this time, we only offer private swim lessons.
  • How do I determine what level my child is?
    Please refer to the chart below:
  • What should my child bring to the swim lesson?
    Please ensure your child has the following at every lesson: - Swimsuit - Goggles - Sunscreen (please apply sunscreen prior to lesson to ensure you do not use up your lesson time) - Water bottle
  • Who are the swim instructors?
    Go to our Team section to meet our awesome swim teachers. All of our teachers have a passion for teaching and swimming!
  • Can I switch between instructors?
    Absolutely! We assess each student's swim ability and give them a "swim level". Our structured swim level system ensures that any of our qualified instructors can step in and teach effectively, providing a consistent and high-quality learning experience for our students.
  • Do you use floatation devices for infants/toddlers?
    For toddlers/infants, we do not use any floatation devices (i.e floaties or vests) in our lessons for various reasons: - False sense of security/dependence on floatation - Delayed skill development - Improper body positioning
  • I have access to a pool. Can we have the lesson there?
    We offer "at home" swim lessons on a case-by-case basis provided you have a pool that is available for use. Please contact us prior to booking a lesson!
  • What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
    To promote a positive and convenient environment for both families and instructors, we have the following policies: Cancelation Policies - Clients may cancel a lesson without penalty if done at least 24 hours in advance. - Cancelations made within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee of the lesson cost. - No-shows or cancellations made within 2 hours of the lesson will incur the full lesson cost. Rescheduling Policies: - Clients may reschedule a lesson without penalty if done at least 24 hours in advance. - Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours may be subject to the cancellation fee unless due to an emergency. Emergency Exceptions: - Exceptions for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please communicate any emergencies as soon as possible. Weather Conditions/Instructor Sickness: - In the case of unsafe weather conditions, lessons will be canceled at no charge. Instructors will notify clients as early as possible. - In the event of an instructor needing to cancel or reschedule, there will be no cost to you. Instructors will notify clients as early as possible.
  • What is your refund policy?
    Individual lessons that are purchased are fully refundable within 14 days from purchase. Lessons that are purchased as a part of a "lesson pack" are nonrefundable. Please reach out to us directly at aloha@honoluluswimschool.com for refund requests.
